The Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) will hold their South Central Region Annual Meeting on October 3, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at North Pastures in Newport, Perry County, PA.  The meeting will include a shared potluck lunch, tour of North Mountain Pastures, review of PASA’s activities for the last fiscal year, as well as an open question and answer period. Members of the PASA staff as well as the Board of Directors will be in attendance.

This annual membership meeting is an opportunity for the public to join PASA members, staff and board directors to learn more about the work of the organization. This year’s meeting runs in conjunction with Porktoberfest, also hosted by North Mountain Pastures. Annual meeting attendees have the chance to experience their Farmer Highland Games, a pig roast, and bluegrass music (Porktoberfest registration is not included with PASA’s annual meeting registration).

PASA Membership Director, Michele Spencer says this event is “a great way for folks to catch up on what PASA has been up to for the past year, learn about our programs, and have any questions about PASA answered. The potluck lunch and farm tour makes this a fun event to bring family, friends and colleagues to learn about all the great things happening at PASA.”
