On March 11 at the NH Audubon McLane Center, Elizabeth Henderson, owner/operator of Peacework Farm, and member of the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Justice Project (AJP), will introduce family-scale farms who are following Food Justice guidelines, demonstrating to their customers and staff that they follow best practices when it comes to running a fair and safe business.
During this day-long workshop, Henderson will guide farmers through five steps to the pricing, safety, conflict resolution and employment policies that are the foundation of food justice. Attendees will leave the workshop with the knowledge to strengthen current labor policies and pricing practices on their farm with an eye towards workers rights, regulation and fair pricing.
Attendees are encouraged to register for the workshop prior to Tuesday, March 10th on the Northeast Organic Farming Association of NH website. This is a free workshop that includes lunch, materials, and refreshments.
