GEA Farm Technologies welcomed Paul Berdell as a MIone multi-box robotic milking system expert for the United States.
Berdell has a deep knowledge of the robotic milking industry, working with robotics for the last 15 years. In his new role, Berdell will help customers with the decision-making process and implementation of a robotic system, fully supporting them as they transition to a new milking routine.
“Paul’s long-time history and experience with robotic milking systems makes him an excellent fit for our team, customers and dealer network,” says Chris Genal, national sales manager with GEA Farm Technologies. “He will be a tremendous asset to producers looking at robotic milking systems and those who have questions on maximizing system performance.”
Prior to joining GEA Farm Technologies, Berdell ran his own consulting business providing U.S. dairies startup support for robotic systems. In addition, Berdell helped establish the first robotic dairy farm in New Zealand that was fully operational on rotational grazing. Additionally, he served as the farm/technical manager for Winslow LTD.
“I’m honored to be a part of the GEA Farm Technologies team,” says Berdell. “They produce a quality robotic milking system and I’m looking forward to helping dairy producers capitalize on the advantages of a robotic system.”
GEA Farm Technologies is the engineer behind DairyProQ and MIone. DairyProQ is an automated robotic rotary milking parlor that revolutionizes efficiencies on large-scale dairies. MIone utilizes one robotic application arm to service up to four milking boxes, setting it apart from other milking robots in its class.
