The “Protecting Your Profits” conference call will start at noon, February 25 and provide an overview on the current dairy industry trends and markets. Alan Zepp, risk management program manager for the Center for Dairy Excellence, who authors the Markets and Management Update, published in Farmshine, will host the call.
The call will discuss if the milk price is really determined by supply and demand for dairy products independent of other commodities, why it seems there is a strong correlation between oil and milk prices, how producers determine that they are competitive in business, as well as how markets are trending currently.
These conference calls are free but registration is needed to obtain the call information. Contact the Center for Dairy Excellence at 717-346-0849 to register, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information about this and other resources from the center can be found here.
