Advanced Comfort Technology, Inc. has hired Scott Hartwell as Regional Sales Representative for DCC Waterbeds (Dual Chamber Cow Waterbeds). In this position, Hartwell will support ACT’s growing dealer network in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ontario and Quebec.

Hartwell comes to ACT with almost 30 years’ experience engineering, management and leadership experience in the military, in manufacturing and in the multimedia communications field. Although new to agriculture, Hartwell has a proven track record of applying his operational management skills to help companies and their clients improve performance both operationally and financially.

Hartwell grew up in Whitewater, Wis., and joined the U.S. Navy after graduating high school. After a nine-year Naval career, Hartwell earned his bachelor of science in business management and began his career in manufacturing. For more than 20 years, he has held roles of increasing responsibility engineering, facilities management and maintenance, and team management in industries ranging from medical manufacturing, automotive and industrial manufacturing, and multimedia communications production.

Today, Hartwell resides in Portage, Wis. He has two grown daughters and enjoys outdoor adventure, travel, and time with family and friends.
