Superior Manufacturing, a grain bin manufacturing company based in Kindred, was named North Dakota’s Exporter of the Year for 2014 at the Global Business Awards Ceremony at the Hilton Garden.

Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley presented the awards at the annual international business event hosted by the North Dakota Trade office. The Exporter of the Year award is given to one North Dakota business annually. To win, the business had to expand to a new international market in 2014, increase export sales during the past year and support the larger effort to expand the state’s global reach. Superior Manufacturing began exporting in 2010, and its first international trip was to Kazakhstan. It now has an active dealer network that includes 10 countries, with new dealers starting up in six additional countries.

Owner Claire Rauser formed Superior Manufacturing in 2008. The family-owned and operated company has two manufacturing facilities that produce grain bins and grain bin accessories for commercial farmers and small farm operations and ranches. It also has North American dealers in at least 24 U.S. states and Canada.

Four Anchors Worldwide, an international marine insurance broker based in Pleasantville, N.Y., received the 2014 Service to Exporters Award for assisting North Dakota exporters. Hoffmann Angus Farms, Wheatland, was recognized as the North Dakota Trade Office’s first Global Ambassador.
