Lallemand Animal Nutrition introduces the Lallemand Forward Scholarship Program in North America. Four $2,500 undergraduate scholarships and one $3,000 graduate scholarship will be awarded to outstanding agriculture students studying in the United States, Mexico or Canada.
“The Lallemand Forward Scholarship was initiated to recognize agriculture students who are excelling at the graduate and undergraduate levels,” says Jeff Ast, Commercial Director, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America. ”Lallemand supports the advancement of animal nutrition’s current and future generations. This is an exciting opportunity to advance the knowledge and resources of tomorrow’s scientists and leaders.”
Undergraduate students who hold junior status or higher and have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0, on a 4.0 scale, are asked to submit a resume, along with a 500 word essay describing their future goals as they relate to their role in their chosen agricultural field. Graduate students, who are enrolled in an agricultural master’s program, who have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0, out of 4.0, are asked to submit a synopsis of their current graduate work/project, along with their resume.
The scholarship will be given in two parts, half at the beginning of the fall 2015 semester and the other half at the beginning of the spring 2016 semester.
“Lallemand is raising the bar and setting new standards to benefit animal agriculture,” Ast says. “Lallemand Forward represents our ideals while keeping an eye on the future.”
