June Milk Production Up 1.3 Percent in Vermont
Milk production in Vermont in June 2016 totaled 229 million pounds, up 1.3 percent from June 2015, according to Gary Keough, State Statistician of the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, New England Field Office. Production per cow averaged 1,750 pounds in June, 40 pounds more than June 2015. The average milk price received by Vermont farmers in May 2016, at $16.00 per hundredweight, is down $0.40 April 2016 and down $2.00 from May a year ago.

NYSERDA Offers No-Cost Energy Audits
