CrustBuster/SpeedKing Unveils New Canola Special Drill

4/20/2014

Meeting the challenge of successfully planting canola crops in a variety of soil conditions with a wide range of soil moisture levels and in fields ranging from tilled to no-till is what the new CrustBuster Canola Special Drill does best.

CrustBuster has taken the proven All Plant Drill and created a Canola Special Drill that plants canola seed in heavy residue.

Available in 30, 40 and 45-foot widths with 7.5-inch and 10-inch spacing, these drills are equipped with floating trash whippers available on every other row. The drills with 10-inch spacing use single or double trash whippers available on 20-inch centers, while the drills with 7.5-inch spacing use single floating trash whippers available on 15-inch centers.

The Canola Special Drills have the proven parallel linkage opener for precise depth control and the adjustable all-metal Wobble Slot metering system. CrustBuster's Wobble Slot is a ductile cast seed cup that is bored and machine-faced with a sintered metal rotor of bronze alloy construction (no plastic). It's a gentle and precise metering system that will not crack or split seed. It has the proven ability to handle a wide variety of seeds, including canola and cover crops, as well as traditional production crops such as wheat and soybeans.
