Axis N.E. LLC has joined Axis Seed as an independent regional company (IRC) to serve New York state, all of New England and northern Pennsylvania. Headquartered in Skaneateles, N.Y., Axis N.E. is led by Tim Taylor, whose experience with seeds spans more than 25 years. As an IRC for Axis Seed, Taylor has the ability to recommend the right seed for the soil types and conditions for each specific area of the Northeast and has access to a wide variety of genetics.
Until recently, Taylor was a seed sales representative for Dekalb/Asgrow seeds, where he also assisted that company's development manager in product research. He has also served on the board of the New York Corn & Soybean Growers Association.
"I was looking to remain an independent seedsman, and Axis Seed provides just what I was looking for. I like how they do business," Taylor said.
Axis Seed offers superior genetics from the major genetic and trait providers, giving Axis N.E. access to the newest and top-of-the-line products. Corn and soybean seed are their major offerings, but Axis N.E. also sells seed for wheat, sorghum, alfalfa, hay and small grains. Taylor is also a certified applicator and offers complete seed treatment for soybeans.
Axis N.E. LLC is one of 14 independent regional companies for Axis Seed.
