The 39th annual Massachusetts Sheep & Woolcraft Fair is scheduled for May 25-26, 2013, at the Cummington Fairgrounds in Cummington, Mass. The event will feature fiber and woolcraft vendors, sheep shearing demonstrations, sheepdog trials, fiber and woolcraft workshops for adults and children, sheep shows, fleece show and sale, fleece to shawl competition, and food booths. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
All Massachusetts sheep producers and woolcraft enthusiasts are invited to participate in this event. Parking is $10 per car, and a two-day pass is $15. Camping is available on the grounds for vendors and exhibitors. There is a $20 charge for campers and a $10 charge for tents. Hook-ups are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A potluck supper will be held in the fairgrounds dining room at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Everyone is welcome. Please bring a prepared main dish or salad sufficient to feed your family to the kitchen by 4 p.m. (no bread). Rolls, beverages, and place settings will be provided. Both refrigerators and warming ovens are available on the grounds. An ice cream social will follow the potluck.
