2013 New York State Woodsmen's Field Days

August 16-18, Boonville, N.Y.

The New York State Woodsmen's Field Days will be held August 16-18 at the Boonville-Oneida County Fairgrounds in Boonville, N.Y. The event will feature forestry exhibits, parade, fireworks, greased pole climb, beard contest, loader contest, lumberjack contests and demonstrations, and more. New for 2013, there will be an expanded variety of forest industry exhibits and woodcrafters.

Daily demonstrations will include burling (log rolling in water), two-person crosscut sawing, ax throwing, speed chopping, chain saw carving and more. The Indian River Olde Time Lumberjack Show will run throughout the weekend, exhibiting the skills, strength and courage of the old-time lumberjack, in both a humorous and educational format.
